Print editions, sizes and prices

The images shown on this site are available as fine art prints (some people call them giclee prints; some call them Iris prints, refering to Iris-brand printers). Let's just call them digital prints.

The prints are made at a certified Hewlett-Packard digital printing center on a high-quality Hewlett-Packard printer (HP 2000 CP or HP 3000 C) by a craftsman printer in Benicia, Calif. These are not photographic prints on glossy paper. Instead, each print is made by spraying archival inks directly onto a Waterford watercolor paper (giclee means "spray" in French).

The printed images (almost all on pure white backgrounds) have a soft, painterly feeling that differs from traditional photo prints. All prints are issued in editions limited to 25 numbered, signed and matted prints. They are matted with Crescent matte board #915 (a neutral grey color called Fog), with the Waterford paper print attached using Lineco archival acid-free mounting/hinging tissue. The bevel-cut matting is affixed to a foam-core backing with Ph-neutral clear double-sided tape.
